It was quite challenging shooting this concert. There was a lot of smoke and the band was backlit most of the time, when there were any lights at all.
I have to confess that my goal was to get drum wizard Baard Kolstad in focus on the photo above… not his drumkit. Technically this might not be the best photograph I have taken but I really like how it turned out. I have now seen Leprous perform live four times and they are just […]
Vola performing in Gothenburg, Sweden on their first headlining tour
There is a reason that SLIPKNOT is one of the biggest metal acts in the world right now. They have a catalog of great songs spanning 20 years, a very visual and entertaining live show. Their live performance at Copenhell in Denmark felt very professional in every way. Slipknot entered the stage at Copenhell and […]
You don’t like us. You love us!
A collection of photographs from Copenhell.
“You call this Copenhell… but I would call it a little slice of heaven, if you ask me.” Neil Fallon (Clutch)

Musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie in the bright summer sun at Copenhell.
Reggae you like a hurricane.
We got sun, fire and horns with a huge dose of melodic death metal. Amon Amarth entered the stage at Copenhell and delivered a great show.
I first heard Glen Hughes and his mighty vocals on the album “Phenomena” released in 1985 by the musical project with the same name.
Matthew Heafy and the guys in TRIVIUM started their concert at Copenhell at 14:00 in broad daylight. Most people wandering the festival grounds were either looking for a place to get at late breakfast or are trying to wake up after the night before.
I have to admit I was very happy when it was announced that Tool would be playing at Copenhell in 2019. Tool is band that I have huge respect for and their music is absolutely breathtaking.
Halestorm, fronted by the very charismatic Lizzy Hale, performed at Copenhell to an enthusiastic crowd.
I have never heard the band Demons & Wizards but played Dungeons & Dragons twice.
Here is a mock-up of a book with two of my photographs.
This photographs might be more about the atmosphere than the band on stage.
Twenty One Pilots is not a band I have listened to. My daughter is a massive fan and has been playing them constantly at home, in the car and in her phone. She really wanted to see them live and suddenly we got the chance to see them. I got us tickets for the concert […]
I have been a fan of Evergrey for a long time now and finally I got the opportunity to photograph them.
